This accommodation was a great choice for our city break. the modern and new facilities provided us with a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the two pools and the gym during our free time. we appreciated the warm welcome from the hotel staff who were really kind to us. the location of the hotel was very convenient, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. the hotel room we stayed in had a balcony from where we could admire the beautiful views of the mountains.
We faced a bit of noise in the room due to some construction work that was going on nearby. the breakfast selection could have been better, with more options to choose from.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful landscape. Nice big room.
When we stayed in the hotel in April 2011, not all facilities were open; the outside swimming pool was closed and the outside bar was under renovation.

Amazing place! One of the best places we stayed at during our trip. Flashy and new with lots of traditional wood and stone work. Our room had a perfect view of the valley and was so peaceful. Loved the two pools and the gym! The homemade jams for breakfast were absolutely delicious. The bar staff were really friendly and the cocktails were fantastic. Can't wait to go back soon!
That the squash court wasn't finished yet when we visited.

This is a rustic spanish hotel deep in the Sierra Nevada'S. The people are very friendly and go out of their way to communicate if english is your only language. The food was great and the hospitality was incredable. The town of Trevelez is also very friendly to tourists and the scenery is incredable. If you want to experience the Mountains of Spain and the small town atmosphere stay at the Alcazaba. This was our second stay here and we really enjoyed it... Again!

Great hotel, staff were very helpful with our transport to Trevelez (the receptionist actually drove us with her own car). Very spacious rooms. Because it is quite far out of town, unless you have a car, you have to be eating in the hotel restaurant (only menu of the day in low season, you cannot order of the menu), but food was very nice.
Location is definitely not Busquistar as the hotel advertises, nor it is walking distance from Busquistar or Trevelez. Hotel was otherwise clean, we just had a broken glass in one section of the floor and no one came to clean it even after we asked at the reception.

A nquiet mountain escape. Very peaceful and extremely helpful staff. Enjoyed our drive down to the town of Trevelez. The road up to the hotel is quite tortuous but there are wonderful views and it is wel worth the effort.
